The Fog Rolls In — printable bedtime picture book (ages 2-5)

The bay is quiet tonight — and far out past the last little boat, something soft is rolling in. In… and soft… and hush. Page by page the fog takes one more thing: the headland, the little houses, the reeds where Clover the rabbit is curled, the post where Olive the owl sits, the last gold lamp on the shore. Below the waterline the fish drift lower, the jellyfish rise and sink like slow snow, and Pebble the turtle folds her flippers on the sand. Every page repeats one gentle rhythm and slows it a little more, with soft breathe-in, breathe-out cues along the way, and it ends with nothing left to do but sleep. A calming wind-down story for ages 2–5, made for the last few minutes before bed.
